Akshay Kumar’s comic-family drama ‘Rakshabandhan’ is set to clash with Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ on 11th August 2022.
Akshay Kumar’s light family-comedy movie is directed by Anand L Rai a director who has given us timeless classic movies like Tanu weds Manu, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan and Raanjahnaa, While Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of 1994 Hollywood blockbuster movie Forest Gump Starring the iconic Tom Hanks in the pivotal role.
As both the movies are releasing on the festive day of Rakhi, Akshay Kumar reacts on the clash and says that he wants both the movies to have a good run:
“It’s not a clash. It’s about good movies coming together. And, it’s a big day. Due to Covid-19, many films did not release and some are still waiting to get a release date. So, it’s natural more films will release together. I hope both films have good run.” – He said.
The trailer of ‘Rakshabandhan’ received positive response from the audience as people called it ‘A ride full of emotions’ while some people called it perfect ‘Family entertainer’
Meanwhile Laal Singh Chaddha’s trailer received mixed response from the audience as people called out Aamir’s monotonous expressions in the movie and compared it with Aamir’s previous movies such as PK and 3 idiots.
Akshay’s recent movie failed to impress the audience at the box office and the superstar actor will definitely look to end his bad run with his new release.
