Ratan Tata Reveals The ‘Heartwarming’ Reason Why He Launched Tata Nano, Netizen Call Him A ‘Gem’

One of India’s most loved industrialists Ratan Tata recently revealed the reason that inspired him to launch the very popular – Tata Nano car, the famous vehicle from his enterprise that became very popular for it’s super-cheap price.

Ratan Tata has been known for his noble deeds for the common man of India. From opening Hospitals to donating huge amounts through Tata trusts for the benefit of people, Tata group always stands out when it comes to ‘giving back to the people’



The business tycoon recently inaugurated 7 cancer hospitals in Assam jointly with the government of Assam. He gave an emotional speech at the inaugural event and said that he would dedicate his last years to health.

Ratan Tata took to Instagram and shared his heartening reason of launching the Tata Nano car which was also known as People’s car, he also shared a picture of him posing with the 2008 launched car.

Ratan Tata wrote – “What really motivated me, and sparked a desire to produce such a vehicle, was constantly seeing Indian families on scooters, maybe the child sandwiched between the mother and father, riding to wherever they were going, often on slippery roads. One of the benefits of being in the School of Architecture, it had taught me to doodle when I was free.”

He further added:



“At first we were trying to figure out how to make two wheelers safer, the doodles became four wheels, no windows, no doors, just a basic dune buggy. But I finally decided it should be a car. The Nano, was always meant for all our people,”

Nano was launched in 2008 and the main aim of the car was to make a four wheeler vehicle affordable for the common man. the launch of the car surprised auto mobile sector from around the globe and many hailed it as revolutionary in the automobile sector.
