KGF 2 Star Yash’s Father Still Works As Bus Driver – A Look At His Inspiring, Humble Journey

Not every kid in the showbiz is born with a silver-spoon, some superstars really do rise from the ashes.

Case in point – KGF 2 star Yash.

The 36 year old star of the record-breaking franchise, rose from a humble beginning and a middle class background, before transforming himself into a Pan India star, and a household name.

The actor’s father Arun Kumar worked in the KSRTC transport service, while his mother was a homemaker. In fact, Yash’s father even today work as a public bus driver, in spite of all the success that has come his son’s way.

This was revealed by director SS Rajamouli in an event, as he stated:

“I was amazed after knowing that Yash is the son of a bus driver. I’m told that his father works as a bus driver even today. To me, Yash’s father is the real star more than the actor”.

Yash had a long road to stardom, filled with several struggles. Coming from a humble background, he did not have lakhs or crores invested behind him. In fact he came to the city with just 300 rupees in his pocket. He somehow managed to get some assistant work in films, and later also worked in the theater.

His folks were almost certain that he’d be back in 2-3 days after trying his luck.

He then started getting opportunities in the television, as he took part in several regional TV shows – later landing himself his first lead role in 2008 in the film – Rocky.

But it was his drive and focus, of not having a backup plan – and giving his all to this one dream, that brought him to where he is today.

Truly Yash’s story is inspiring beyond words.
