Deepika Padukone, Urvashi Rautela, Tamannah & Pooja Hegde Dance Their Hearts Out At Cannes To Ghoomar

Like every year, many celebs from India reached the popular Cannes film festival and grabbed the attention with their ravishing presence on the red carpet.

This year’s Indian contingent included many new faces sucha a Rajasthani folk singer Mame Khan and Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur. Other notable names at the fest were, Deepika Padukone, Urvashi Rautela, Nawazuddin Siddqui, R Madhavan, Shekhar Kapoor, AR Rehman, Pooja Hegde and Prasoon joshi.



On the second day of the festival, the Indian Pavilion had some memorable moments as Deepika Padukone, Tamannah, Pooja Hegde and Urvashi Rautela did Ghoomar dance. Folk singer Mame Khan set the mood with his soulful singing and requested the actresses to shake a leg on the traditional song.

The video became instant favorite of the netizens and was widely shared by fans.

Deepika also spoke about the journey of Indian cinema so far at the festiva.

While addressing the press at a conference, the Padmaavat actress said:



“I feel we have a long way to go as a country, I feel really proud to be here as an Indian and to be representing the country. But when we look back at 75 Years of Cannes, I have said earlier also that there have been only a handful of Indian films, and Indian talent that have been able to make it and I feel like collectively as a nation today we have it.”

This year has been special for India at the Cannes as it was named as the ‘country of honor’.
