“Dudh si safedi, Nirma se aayi” – there won’t be a Hindi-speaking kid of the 90’s who wouldn’t remember this iconic jingle from back in the day.
The famous advert of washing powder Nirma, which featured acterss Dipika Chikhlia back in the 90’s, remains one of the most well-recognized things from the television of that era.
Now, actress Karishma Kapoor has given many of us 90’s kids a dosage of that nostalgia, by revisiting and recreating that iconic advertisement.
Karishma, donning a similar attire to that of Dipika, has reenacted the whole advert – but it is not for Nirma. The new ad is, with the same story, backdrop and costumes – has been curated for payment-app – Cred. Nevertheless, it is shot in a very 90’s fashion, and is really taking us back there with all the feels.
