Will Smith won the best actor Oscar for his performance in the Tennis sensation William sisters’ Biopic ‘King Richard’.
But unfortunately that did not turn out to be the headline-grabbing moment for the 53 year old star.
During the show the ‘Hancock’ actor lost his cool on comedian Chris Rock, who was one of the hosts of the evening, for joking about the ‘shaven head’ of Will’s wife, Jada, which is said to be due to a medical condition called – Alopecia.
The shocking moment went down in history books, as Will angrily stepped-up on stage and slapped Chris Brown in front of the whole audience in the live show, much to everyone’s horror.

Will received mixed reactions for his actions, as some criticized him for being too violent and aggressive on international television, whereas some also defended his actions by saying the joke went too far and he was right to protect his family.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has too openly sided with Will in this whole debacle.
Kangana shared a picture of the incident of Will smacking Chris and said she would have taken the same step if she was in Will’s situation.
“If some idiot used my mom or sister’s illness to make bunch of fools laugh I would slap him like @willsmith did,” Kangana wrote on her Insta story, adding clapping emojis. She continued, “bada** move…hope he comes to my #lockup,” and added a laughing emoji.

While Kangana has chosen to side with Will in this whole debacle, Internet remains divided – as people debate over ‘how far you are allowed to go, when it comes to defending your family and their ordeals’.
