Nawazuddin Siddiqui Slams Celebs Posting Pics Of Their Maldives Holidays

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is more assertive than most Bollywood stars we know of.

The actor, in spite of not associating with the Bollywood mainstream, has never been afraid of presenting his opinions against the powers that be or everything that is wrong in the system.

The actor, who’s just finished shooting his much-awaited venture ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, recently slammed Bollywood celebrities for flaunting their extravagant holidays abroad – amidst the face of everything that is going on in the world, with the global health crisis.

Asking these celebs to ‘have some shame’, the actor did not mince words. Here’s what he was quoted as saying by Yahoo:

“These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo.”

The talented star did not stop there, as he took a dig at these stars by saying that since they do not have much talk about in the ‘acting’ department, they have turned Maldives into a ‘tamasha’.

“But what else will they talk about? Acting? They will run out of steam in two minutes. In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering everywhere. The cases of COVID are multiplying. Have a heart. Please don’t taunt those who are suffering.”

As for his own whereabouts, the actor stated:

“I am in my home town Budhana with my family. That’s my Maldives.”
