Kangana Ranaut On Working With Ekta Kapoor: ‘My Problem Wasn’t Nepotism, But Ganging Up On Outsiders’

Kangana Ranaut is set to host her first-ever reality show, the ‘Bigg Boss’ themed – ‘Lock Up’, which will feature contestants locked-up for several weeks in a jail-like setup.

The show is being produced by Ekta Kapoor, who’s previously worked with Ranaut for her production – Judgmental Hai Kya.

But this time around Ranaut is being questioned for working with the famous daughter of veteran actor Jitendra, after questioning the presence of Nepotism in the industry, for several years.



In a recent interview with Times Now’s Navika Kumar, Kangana was asked why she worked with Ekta for this project, after she had often pointed how her issues with nepotism in Bollywood.

Responding to the question, Kangana stated that her problem was never really nepotism, but the ganging up on outsiders by a certain group, who believe the industry belongs to them. Kangana asserted that Ekta does not belong to that group, and has always been welcoming of people who come from non-filmy backgrounds.

Appearing alongside Ekta, Kangana also addressed several other issues during the conversation, including the ongoing Hijab row in Karnataka and her tendency to always remain in controversies.
