Pankaj Tripathi Says He Was Humiliated By Some People In The Industry During His Struggle Days, ‘I felt bad & angry’

Pankaj Tripathi has swiftly climbed the ladder of success in the last one decade. At least that is how it seems to those who have seen him in numerous successful films over the past few years.

But in reality, his road to success hasn’t been that easy.

The actor faced years of failure and neglect in the world of showbiz, that isn’t always kind to those who come from non-filmy background and small cities. It was later in the year 2012, after getting a break in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur, his career took flight. And he hasn’t looked back since.

But during his days of struggles, Pankaj says he was often hamulated by some of his peers in regards to his failures and his non-existing career.

While speaking to RJ Siddharth Kannan in a recent interview, Pankaj reflected back at a time when he was made-fun-of by some people in the industry.

He says that the same people don’t even remember it now, but he does remember feeling angry and sad.

“When they met me later, they did not know if they had said something to me,” he said.

“Yes, yes. Indeed. I am a human being, after all, why wouldn’t I feel bad? I felt angry even, but then I try to forget that, as bearing grudges only harms me. So I moved on.”

Thankfully, Pankaj Tripathi does not have a reason to look back anymore. His talent is being utilized to the fullest in several films and series on OTT and beyond.

His roles in films like Stree, Newton, Fukrey Returns and in series like Mirzapur, Sacred Games, Criminal Justice – make his one of the most well-regarded actors of today.

Hopefully, the said people have learnt their lesson now.
