“I have spent 25 years in Bollywood, and I am still looking for a job”: Arshad Warsi

Arshad Warsi has time and again proven his acting talent in films, ranging from slapstick comedy to socially relevant dramas.

The actor, who got an incredible second innings of his career with his character of ‘Circuit’ in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, that turned him into a household name – is still showcasing his acting chops in OTT platforms.

His performances in films like Jolly LLB and Golmal are still loved by audiences.

However, Arshad maintains that despite all the success and with over 25 years of experience in the industry, he still finds himself looking for a job, every now and then.

“So, (the truth is), I have completed 25 years in the industry, and I’m still looking for a job because that is how the industry is”.

But Warsi, admits that it is just the nature of the job – as Bollywood only does offer seasonal employment, and for the most part of the year, one is left wondering what they’re going to do next.

But despite it all, Arshad keeps his hands busy with all the work he’s getting, from OTT and beyond:

“I feel grateful for every day that passes. Because if you face reality, one can say, ‘I’m getting old’, and work can go slow. But it doesn’t look like it. I am too busy all of a sudden,” he says.

Arshad will next be seen in the highly anticipated Bachchan Pandey, while he’s also prepping for the sequel of his hit web-series – ‘Asur.’
