Film Icon Dharmendra Talks About His Struggles And Becomes Emotional On India’s Best Dancer

Legendary actor Dharmendra made a rare appearance on Indian television earlier this week, when he sat beside the judges in the latest episode of India’s Best Dancer 2.

The ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ star was also seen getting emotional as he came across a moving performance by a contestant, which in a way reminded him of his own struggles during the beginning of his career.

Dharmendra was joined by veteran actress Asha Parekh as a special guest during a special airing of the show, when one of the show’s contestants – Raktim Thakuria performed a dance on the theme of a father and son’s relationship, with pictures of Dharmendra and his sons
– Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, displayed in the background.

The moving performance brought Dharmendra and the show’s judge Malaika Arora to tears, as he also reflected back on life’s struggles:

“This life, as long as we live, is a struggle. This struggle will not end. It is this struggle that keeps us going. This struggle has brought you to this stage, you’ll face more struggles and reach newer heights. I have also struggled and still struggling,” he said.

The teaser of the upcoming episode was shared by the network and it gave us a glimpse on the roller coaster of a show it’s going to be:

On the work front, the 86 year old will next be seen in ‘Cheers – Celebrate Life’ and ‘Apne 2.’
