The first look of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming venture as a producer is here and it has us all excited.
Entitled ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ the film serves as the first project of Kangana’s newly launched production house – Manikarnika Films and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead.
But the fact that Ms. Ranaut is the one helming the project from Producer’s chair, is what has garnered it all the attention thus far, apart from also the fact that it features Nawaz in a never-before-seen avatar and role.
On Monday, when Kangana was awarded the prestigious Padma Shri honour, she also took to social media to launch the poster of the film along with the announcement of the project’s leading lady.
“Receiving Padma Shri honour same day as beginning my journey as a producer is very special to me,” Kangana wrote on her social media. “Sharing with you all first look of my first production under Manikarnika Films Pvt Ltd …Tiku Weds Sheru… Here’s a piece of my heart…Hope you all like”
The makers have announced social media sensation – Avneet Kaur as the film’s lead actress, who will be starring opposite Siddiqui in her debut film role.
Tiku Weds Sheru, is being boasted as an ‘unconventional love story’ – which is precisely what enticed someone like Nawazuddin to join the project. The film will be directed by Sai Kabir.
The anticipated project has begun filming and will be scheduled for a release in 2022 – marking the first release of Manikarnika Films.
