Taapsee Pannu Says She Was On The Verge Of Being Kicked Out From The Industry

As her film ‘Rashmi Rocket’ gears up for a release, actress Taapsee Pannu is appearing for multiple interviews – speaking her my mind on all topics concerning the film industry, or her journey in it, thus far.

In a similar interview with Indiatimes recently, the actress talked about the uncertain nature of her profession and how one should never take it for granted.



Pannu stated that she realizes that she should have realistic expectations from her job, as her demand in the filmbiz may not always be the same. “I don’t have any delusion that I am going to stay in this purple patch for the rest of my life.” – she was quoted telling the publication.

The actress also gave an example of her unsuccessful stint in the southern film industry, where she says, she was almost “kicked out” for delivering a series of commercial failures.

“I became a star overnight and then couple of films didn’t work and I was literally on the verge of being kicked out in terms of like I stopped getting big projects.”

Taapsee stated that she was being considered a “bad luck charm” for films, following which she stopped getting roles.



However the Pink star affirms that despite the uncertainty of her professions, she wants to keep on building a filmography that people are going to remember her for.

“.. that people look at it and say that she did a lot.” – she said.
