Saira Banu was all hearts and emotions as she penned down a beautiful note on the occasion of her 56th wedding anniversary, with the recently deceased movie icon, and her husband – Dilip Kumar.
The legendary yesteryear actress’s heartfelt note, remembered the screen-legend and her partner of over 5 decades with great fondness as she recollected some of the happy memories they shared together.
While speaking with ETimes, the star shared a handwritten note for Dilip Saab, while also extending her gratitude for all the wishes that have flown in her direction for their anniversary.
Here’s what her note, as shared by ETimes stated:
“This October 11 is the 56th wedding anniversary of my Love and Kohinoor Dilip Sahib and I. I am writing this to especially express gratitude to the multitude of well-wishers, dearest friends, and family who have so lovingly and thoughtfully sent us the remembrance of this magical day for both of us. Dilip Sahib and I, when time stood still, and the sky was lit with a million happy sparkling stars… our wedding, the beginning of a sharing of a life of ecstatic togetherness… and now no matter what, we still walk together hand-in-hand, in our thoughts and being until the end of time.”
In the same note, she further added:
“Dilip Sahib has been that iconic guiding light not only for me but for all those generations who’ve stepped forward in their lives exemplified by his gracious presence and personality. Dilip Sahib is forever… Aameen. May Allah always keep him in his love and blessings… Aameen.”

Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, while Ms. Saira Banu continued to be on his side till the end.
Even after his passing, the two remain one of the most iconic on-screen and off-screen couples of showbiz.
