Mallika Sherawat – who made quite a name for herself in the early 2000’s is now gearing up to make a comeback in the world of showbiz.
The actress, who was primarily known for her bold on-screen persona, partially responsible for the sexual awakening of an entire generation of youngsters, is set to appear alongside another hottie – Esha Gupta, in a murder-mystery, entitled ‘Nakaab.
Sherawat is largely known to youngsters of the 2000’s for her headlining work in films like ‘Khwahish’, ‘Murder’ and ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects.’
However, for past several years – she remained in a hiatus, settling down abroad, giving-up on her mammoth fame.
Now, her upcoming OTT release – an MX Exclusive Series, has garnered several eyeballs, as viewers await to see her again.
Speaking on her role, Mallika was quoted as saying:
“This series investigates the hidden nuances of a glamorous industry. I play Zohra who is an inspiring single woman at the apex of the media industry, but her character is mysterious. It’s the kind of part I have never explored before and honestly, I feel it’s the role of a lifetime. Nakaab has crime, drama, secrets, scandals and is a complete entertainer. However, it was the fantastic mysteriously layered character written by Soumik Sen made me immediately take up the part.”
