Kangana Ranaut’s mega-budget biopic of the late Jayalalitha, is looking at a bumper start on streaming platforms.
The high-octane powerful drama, which serves as an ode to the former 3-time Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, has done fairly well at the box office despite being released on an extremely limited number of screens due to the ongoing health crisis, and with theaters shut in states like Maharashtra.
After having collected over 17 crores worldwide in a span of 16 days, the film is premiering on Netflix, and has already become the top trending Indian film on the platform.
The highly-awaited venture was lauded by critics, as most reviews for the film praised it for it’s performances, particularly that of Kangana and Arvind Swami
Now as the film climbed to #1 spot on Netflix, the actress took to her social media to celebrate and to also announce the film’s release on Amazon prime, which is set for next month.
It is interesting to see, how despite all odds, Kangana always manages to deliver, time and again.
