Vidya Balan is one of those actresses of Bollywood who have created a niche for themselves solely based on their body of work and talent.
The star has never relied on her appearance of larger-than-life costumes, despite being ethereally beautiful, to make a place for herself in the A-list group.
Yet she has delivered some of the most memorable female lead roles in the past 15 years.
However, the actress has had her fair share of those who have tried to negate her achievements or call her out based on her wardrobe choices.
In a recent interview the ‘Paa’ actress revealed that during a Bollywood party, a famous A-lister actress approached her and commented on the way she was dressed up.
While Vidya states that she was too stunned at that point to respond imminently, she did want to tell the actress – ‘Why don’t you concentrate more on your acting?’.
Balan disclosed the incident while speaking to radio host Siddharth Kannan:
“One actress I remember told me something about my dressing sense. I wanted to turn around and tell her, ‘First, why don’t you focus on your acting?’”
“And then I thought to myself, ‘Kapdo ke baare mein baat karna bohot aasaan hai, actor agar ho toh thodi si acting bhi kar lo (It is easy to talk about clothes, but if you are an actor, then at least act a little),’” she further added.
Wonder which actress, had the audacity to say that to her…
