In a bizarre incident at an Indian wedding, a groom was married off to the bride’s sister, after the bride died during the ceremony itself, in an unforeseen situation.
The bride, named – Surbhi collapsed during the wedding and was declared dead on the spot, due to a sudden heart attack – following which the bride’s family “offered” the groom, Mangesh Kumar, their younger daughter, Nisha.
To make it even more strangely morbid, the ceremony was conducted on the spot with Nisha, while her sister Surbhi’s body lay in another room.
The wicked nature of the entire situation has managed to garner media attention, as the family members of the bride and groom are now being approached by reporters.
In an interview with The Times Of India, the bride’s brother was quoted telling the following:
“It was a bizarre situation as the wedding of my younger sister took place while the dead body of my other sister was laying in another room.”
According to some reports, the bride’s family is said to have decided to continue with the ceremony despite the tragedy, as the groom’s family would have taken an alleged dowry anyway
