Internet Reminds Kangana Ranaut How ‘Humble’ Meryl Streep is Despite Being a ‘Hollywood Great’

Kangana Ranaut recently raised a lot of eyebrows, including of those who have supported her talent and craft, by going into a narcissistic tirade trying to prove how she’s the greatest actress in the world.

Yes, the words came out of her own mouth.

While all artists have historically left it on others to critique or praise their work, Kangana apparently believes in doing it herself.

In her recent social media rant, she even went on to compare herself with three-time Oscar winning actress, Meryl Streep – who is widely regarded as one of the greatest living actresses, and has a career of more then 4 decades to back it up.

Kangana, however refused to believe that Meryl could have her level of versatility and argued that she hasn’t won as many National Awards as her, to prove it.

This irked a lot of cinema lovers, who apparently like to appreciate movies – irrespective of geographical boundaries that separates artists and reminded the actress that nothing exemplifies someone’s greatness more than their humbleness towards their craft and achievements. And of coarse, letting your work do all the talking.

Actor Ishan Khattar, who was seen in the movie ‘Dhadak’, also shared a wildly popular quote by Streep, in which she famously stated that she is often mistaken for being ‘great’ simply because of the great women she has portrayed on-screen.

“My achievement if you can call it that, is that I’ve basically pretended to be extraordinary people my entire life, and now I’m being mistaken for one.” – Meryl Streep had once stated while accepting a prestigious award.

Although Kangana does have every right to think highly of herself, but doesn’t that diminish her own credibility as an artist and as a spokesperson?

Just saying…
