2020 was quite a year for showbiz, particularly the Hindi film industry AKA Bollywood.
After a few anticipated releases during the first few months, the industry had to postpone a number of other expected releases due to the nationwide lockdown – which was reported to have caused several crores of losses to movers and shakers.
Later the whole industry was shaken up by the news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely passing. What followed that, was one of the toughest forms of grilling the industry has ever had to go through, as allegations pertaining to – bullying, classism, abetment to suicide, drug peddling, etc rocked several A-listers.

Despite it all, there was a number of projects that found home in streaming platforms, as mainstream stars like Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, released their respective projects online.
While there wasn’t much to look forward to, some of these projects still managed to stand above the rest, making it to our top 10 this year.
Yet again, we have compiled our annual list – keeping in mind, only the content and quality of the cinema served to us during the year, irrespective of their mass appeal.
