Priyanka Chopra Points How She Did Not Win Any Award For Her Role in ‘Barfi’

Priyanka Chopra has a tell-all book about her life and experiences up for release, and ahead of the memoir hitting the shelves, the actress is busy collecting praises for her latest screen-venture ‘The White Tiger.’

The movie has garnered a lot of critical acclaim worldwide, particular for the performances by the entire cast.

In her recent conversation on a talk show ‘Hot Ones’, PC was asked to name-drop that one movie from her career which makes her the happiest, and her quick response to it was – ‘Barfi.’

The Anurag Base directed 2012-released drama was one of the most popular Indian films of the year and PC is certainly still proud of being a part of it.

But the actress does point out how, despite all the adoration that flew in her direction for her performance as ‘Jhilmil’, she did not collection any awards for the same.

“This movie called Barfi I did, makes me really happy, my fans really liked it because I didn’t expect. I also didn’t win any of the awards that year, I also didn’t get a lot of appreciation, but I got a lot from the fans”.

Although ‘Barfi’ had it’s share of critiques, with some pointing out the over-the-top direction and imitated scenes from a certain movies in the west, but it still managed to touch chords with millions of viewers.

Nevertheless, ‘The White Tiger’ might just yield PC the praise she’s been looking from at the International movie circuit.
