There was a time the complexities between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s affair had soared so much, that producers and co-stars had become hesitant in investing their time and resources in the actress.
The former Miss World and one of the highest paid actresses at the time of her career’s peak, Aishwarya had to face a number of rejections and final omissions from cast, due to several personal reasons.
It was also reported at that time, that the actress was removed from a number of projects headed by co-star Shah Rukh Khan, at the last minute, due to personal reasons – resulting into some bitterness between the two.
Her interview from Simi Garewal from the past is now coming to light again, in which she is heard reflecting on the matter and how she felt at that time.

“See, at the time, when you have no explanation, you’re obviously completely taken aback, and confused, and hurt. You wonder about it.,” Aishwarya stated.
When Simi asked if the actress ever confronted SRK on the same, Aishwarya responded with:
“It’s not in my nature. If a person feels a need to explain it, they will. If they never did, they never intend to. So, it’s not in my nature to get into questioning what and why. Probably within myself, but I wouldn’t go up to a person and ask why. By the grace of God, I’m not defined by the other.”
The duo were famously supposed to co-star in SRK’s Chalte Chalte, but she had to be taken out at the last minute and was replaced with Rani Mujerji in the film.
Wonder if the old grudges still exist, after all these years.
