Amid Heavy-Rains, Mumbai Woman Stands In Traffic For 5 Hour To Warn Commuters Of Open Manhole Ahead

In a beautiful example of unselfish display of public service, a woman bore 5 hours of heavy rains in Mumbai, standing in the midst of a busy road – just to warn commuters of the open manhole ahead.

We all know how Monsoon brings havoc in the city, almost every year – resulting into a number of tragedies and mishaps.

One of that is the direct outcome of the condition of the roads, or the open manholes and potholes, hidden under knee-high clogged waters – that often prove deadly for pedestrians as well as commuters.

Hundreds of people have reported to have died unknowingly falling into these ‘hidden holes’ during the season of heavy rains in the city, in the past.

In the midst of challenging times like this, a heartening video showing the woman guiding commuters, alarming them of the manhole in front of them was shared on Facebook earlier this week, garnering immense praise for the amazing lady and her selfless act.
