Now Sonu Nigam Says ‘Music Mafia’ May Result Into More Suicides, Hints at Salman Khan Sabotaging Arijit Singh’s Career

As the who’s who of the Hindi film industry is stepping out to voice their concerns over the unfair and biased treatment received by struggling actors and artists, in comparison to those belonging from filmy families, singer Sonu Nigam too has come forth with concerns within the music industry.

The seasoned singer and performer has pointed out how the music industry runs by the hands of a handful few, and how careers are easily destroyed at the convenience and discretion of those who hold power above them.

Taking to his Instagram handle and without naming names, the singer urged B-town biggies to stop misusing their powers for sabotaging the careers of up and coming stars or struggling artists – who don’t have a strong enough background to fight for themselves.

Sonu – hinted how ‘a certain actor’ also attempted to kill the career of the much-beloved Arijit Singh, urging big-shot producers to stop approaching the latter for singing any songs in their respective movies. The feud between Arijit and Salman Khan is already well-known to everyone, leading fans to believe it was indeed the ‘Dabang’ actor Sonu was talking about in the video.

Sonu stated that there’s a bigger mafia in the world of music than in movies, and if nobody puts a check on it – there might be more suicides coming from the music industry.

“Today, Sushant Singh Rajput, an actor has died. Tomorrow you can hear the same about any singer, music composer or lyricist because there’s a bigger mafia that exists in the music scene in India. I understand there’s a business involved and people want to rule. I was lucky to debut at a young age and hence was able to escape this mess. But it’s a difficult scenario for the new kids.”

He further stated:

“Be kind to the young talents. Don’t push them to the wall. Even my songs have been dubbed a number of times. It’s humiliating to call a singer, make him record songs and then dub his songs”.
