In His Last Words, Irrfan Khan Referenced His Mother Who Died a Few Days Before Him

Irrfan Khan’s last words in, as he lied down on the hospital bed, were a reference to his late mother.

The seasoned star and versatile actor, who succumbed to his frail health yesterday, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital following a bout of colon infection, was very close to his family.

Khan’s mother, Saeda Begum, had died only 4 days before the actor’s demise due to natural causes and old age. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing lockdown in the country as a result of Coronavirus pandemic, he couldn’t attend his mother’s funeral in Jaipur.

And thus his last words implied that he was ready to see her again.

According to online sources and a post published by Viral Bhiyani, the actor uttered – “Amma has come to take me,” in the hospital, which were his last words before he transitioned.

RIP legend. Thoughts going out to his family and closed ones, especially his wife and children.
