Irrfan Khan – the on-screen icon, who’s give us 30 years of masterful work, thanks to his brilliance and organic gift as an actor, died yesterday – leaving a major void in the Indian film industry.
As folks from the Mumbai film fraternity remembered the screen legend with words of high-praise, we also looked back at some of his best works in the past many years.
The actor, who’s won several notable awards in India – also did some significant work in Hollywood, appearing in major roles in movies like Life Of Pi, The Amazing Spider Man, Jurrasik World, The Namesake and more.
So it wasn’t just Bollywood stars, who tweeted following the actor’s demise – he also received worded tributes from fellow Hollywood actors, who had the privilege of sharing screen with him.
The likes of Angelina Jolie, Chris Pratt and more remembered and payed homage to Irrfan, shocked, after hearing his untimely passing.
Here’s what they had to say:

Deeply sad to have lost #IrrfanKhan. A thoughtful man who found beauty in the world around him, even in pain. In our last correspondence, he asked me to remember “the wonderful aspects of our existence” in the darkest of days. Here he is, laughing. pic.twitter.com/8eAsSOO9Ie

ANGELINA JOLIE
“I had the privilege of working with Irrfan Khan on the set of A Mighty Heart. He stood out for his generosity as an artist, which made it a pleasure to work in any scene with him. I remember the intensity of his commitment, and equally his smile. I send my condolences and my sympathy to his family, his friends, and all admirers of his work, in India and around the world.”

“Irrfan made it clear that power and gentleness could co-exist in a perfect balance. When he sings that song to his new wife at the bathroom door in The Namesake, it speaks of his father in Life of Pi you are witnessing the magic of a magnificent talent. He may have been the most nuanced actor I have ever worked with and I will always be his dedicated fan. My thoughts and whole heart are with his loved ones.”
RIP Irrfan Khan.
Your impact in the world of cinema will continue to be cherished.
