Neha Kakkar did not take the jokes pulled by Gaurav Gera and Kiku Sharda lightly.
The feisty singer, who’s presently busy judging the latest season of Indian Idol, got upset after seeing an act done by the two comedians – in which they could be seen poking fun at her.
In an act revolving around the character – Dr. Pran Lele, which was being aired in-between a movie-telecast on Sony Max, Gaurav and Kiku made fun of Neha with another comedian enacting and emulating the singer, under the name – ‘Neha Shakkar.’
Making fun of her height and body-type, the character is then called – ‘chota sa bluetooth speaker’, in an act which also involved comedian Sharda.
Most people would take these acts and jokes lightly, but Neha got so upset that she went on an endless rant on social media. Here’s what the singer wrote on her Instagram:
“Shame on these people to create such a NEGATIVE and insulting content! My people know how much I appreciate comedy on me and otherwise but this one is Ridiculous!!! Stop using my name, Stop enjoying, dancing and acting on my songs if you hate me so much. Thankless people. Itna zyada enjoy karte ho mere songs pe (You enjoy my songs so much), you have such good times, you’ve partied so hard on my songs, you’ve made you GF BF hear my love songs, uske baad bhi itna bura likhte hue ho mere liye? Sharam nahin aati? (Yet, you wrote such bad things about me? Aren’t you ashamed?) We should be thankful to the people jinke wajah se hum khush hote hain otherwise aaj kal khusiyaan kitni mushkil se milti hain (It is rare to find people who make us happy).”

Did Gaurav and Kiku take it too far? Or was just passable humour?
