Kareena Kapoor Discloses She Was Offered ‘Queen’ Before Kangana Ranaut

Kareena Kapoor took part in this year’s Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, alongside Akshay Kumar – and spoke on a number of subjects close to her heart.

Ranging from her debut in Refugee, to her career-changing role in Chameli and her professional life after motherhood – Kareena, as usual, was no-hold-barred in the discussion.

When prompted about the roles she declined and they turned out be major hits for other actresses afterwards, Kareena stated that she has had no regrets about them at all.

Speaking on the same subject – the actress also revealed that she was the first one to be offered the role of ‘Rani’ in Vikas Bahl’s Queen. Kareena stated that she turned the role down as she did not feel it was right for her at that point in her life. And the role eventually went to Kangana Ranaut.

The 2014 released movie was a major turning point in Ranaut’s life – as it catapulted her into stardom and established her as a bankable name in the industry. It also earned the actress her second of three national awards, after her first win for 2008-released ‘Fashion.’

The rest as they say, is history – especially when one talks about the blooming graph in Kangana’s career post-2014.

No doubt, Kangana nailed that role like no other. But could you imagine Kareena pulling that off with same finesse?

Have your say…
