Music truly knows no boundaries.
An old patriotic classic sung in the legendary voice of Muhammad Rafi for Bollywood movie, found new place in the hearts of devout military cadets of Russia.
‘Aye Watan, Aye Watan’ – a patriotic song from the 1965 film Shaheed, originally recorded by Rafi, was sung by a group of Russian army cadets at a recent event in the country.
The viral video was shared by ANI and also featured – Brig Rajesh Pushkar, Military Advisor at the Indian Embassy in Moscow – which perhaps explains how the cross-cultural musical amalgamation took place.
