Pak Bride Wears ‘Tomato Jewellery’ As Tomatoes Cost Touches ₹300/Kg in the Country

Pakistan has been facing Tomato-price related crisis, ever since India stopped the supply of the vegetable following the cross-border conflicts.

The generic public of the country has become so fed-up with the inflation in the prices of the ‘necessary vegetable’ that they are using all sorts of means to show their protest.

Recently a bride from Pakistan chose to wear jewellery made with big-red tomatoes in her wedding, to prove the point.

Tomatoes at this point cost a whopping Rs 300 per KG in the country.

Here is what she was quoted as telling by New18 when a Pak reporter approached her during the ceremony:

“The price of gold is expensive, and now even tomatoes and pine nuts are expensive. That’s why I am wearing tomatoes instead of jewellery.”

Well…what do you have to say?
