Earlier this month, the entire nation was shook by the news of the legendary Lata Mangeshkar’s hospitalisation.
The iconic songstress suffered from a bout of chest infection and pneumonia, which landed her in the ICU of Mumbai’s Beach Candy hospital.
After her health became critical, she was put on ventilator support and was being looked after the most senior doctors of the hospital, while her family members stayed around her.
A few weeks later, the singer’s family have confirmed that she is steady and is doing ‘much better’ than before.
“Lata ji is doing much better now,” the music icon’s niece, Rachana was quoted telling PTI.
Lata Mangeshkar’s sister and singer, Usha Mangeshkar had previously also been quoted with an update by PTI:
“She is under observation. She is doing absolutely well and is stable. She will be discharged by tomorrow.”

While she has been doing well – as we’ve been hearing for the past couple of days, she is still being kept in the ICU of the hospital, till she makes a full recovery and is discharged. Considering her age, the doctors want to be extra cautious with the 90 year old.
