Since her sudden hospitalisation on Monday, we have been hearing differing accounts on Lata Mangeshkar’s health from various sources.
While her family has affirmed that the legendary songstress is doing steady is on a road to recovery, some of the doctors of Mumbai’s Beach Candy hospital do maintain that she’s ‘critical’ and on ventilator support.
The veteran singer was hospitalized during the wee hours of Monday morning at around 2:30 AM, after complaining of breathing issues. She has been diagnosed with pneumonia and has had issues with her heart. Due to her age, the 90 year old is under extra care and is being looked over by a group of cardiologists.
“She is undergoing treatment for pneumonia and considering her age, we can’t take any risk. She has been kept on high dosage of antibiotics,” one of the doctors was quoted as telling.
Soon after the news of Mangeshkar’s sudden hospitalisation and sickness was shared, her vast fan following on social media came together to pray for the iconic songbird.
As the prayers and thoughts continue to pour in, the singer is surrounded by her loved ones who’re assuring the fans that’s still on a road to recovery.
