International Bodybuilding: Kerala Man Becomes First Indian To Win Mr Universe Title

Good news for all the aspiring bodybuilders from India.

Kerala based ace bodybuilder, Chitharesh Natesan has broken the barriers to become the first Indian to win Mr Universe title at an international Bodybuilding championship.

The event which was held in Jeju, South Korea under the name – World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship, saw Natesan push open the doors for other Indian aspirants after becoming the first man from the country to hold the title.

Pro-Bodybuilders from nearly 38 countries had participated in the event, but Natesan came out as the definitive champion of the annual ceremony in an unprecedented win.

Here is what he was quoted telling The Indian Express after his glorious win:



“For the last 10 years, I have been into bodybuilding. To participate in this championship, I first went for the trials. I got selected for the Indian team and then I began my preparations. After winning the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship earlier this year, I went on to participate in the World Championship. I am very happy to bring gold for my country India.”
