Amitabh Bachchan is likely to take retirement from the world of showbiz.
The seasoned actor and veteran star of B-town has been steadily working day and night in the world of showbiz, be it his kitty-full of big-screen projects, or his consistent dedication to Kaun Banega Crorepati – season after season.
But as age and health continue to take a toll on his body, the actor is now seriously contemplating retirement.
Big B hinted about the ‘permanent sabbatical’ on his official blog post, while returning from the sets of an upcoming movie he’s shooting for.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Tranquil .. essence of the freshness .. the winter feel, the purity hopefully of the air .. and a rest after 5am to now .. there is great humility and joy of felicitations en route .. the simplicity of the smaller town reigns supreme .. as does the generous hospitality .. we can never match their honesty and simplicity.”

Big B stated that his mind and body have now started sending him signals that he “must retire .. the head is thinking something else and the fingers another .. its a message.”
The superstar was recently reported to have suffered from frail health, halting the shooting his film in Manali. While the actor never spoke about the reports, he did thank his fans for the constant love and support.
Whether he chooses to retire or just slow down a bit – we’re sure fans would continue to love and support him in the same manner as they have, for all these years.
