SRK Says He Found Himself ‘Ugly’ During His Initial Days in Bollywood

Long before Shah Rukh Khan became a heartthrob for teens across the country, and was adored for his charming looks and personality, he too had to face his own insecurities.

The ‘Swades’ actor, who has had his shares of ups and down in the industry, was his biggest critique earlier in the day, before he made it big.

In a recent interview, the superstar was quoted telling how upon viewing the first cut of his breakthrough project – ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’, he found himself ‘ugly’ and didn’t quite think he acted well in comparison with his fellow actors.

Here’s what the actor was quoted as saying by Indiatimes:

“I found myself so ugly. I had such bad hair. I was doing such bad acting in front of Nana Patekar, Amrita Singha nd Juhi Chawla. I took the late 4.15 AM flight ticket that our producers used to get for us at 25% off and went to the airport, thinking I can’t work in films.”

After all these years of unprecedented success and stardom, SRK insists he’s still that ‘Delhi boy’, who has a hard time believing that he actually made it.

Well, we certainly believe it, SRK.
