Remember, just last week we had shared a viral video of a woman from West Bengal singing Lata Mangeshkar’s Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai at a railway station and it got a pretty warm reception from everyone?
Well it turns out, the woman is catching attention of people, bit by bit.
Although she hasn’t received any record deal or a song recording at the moment, but the woman from the viral video has now been given a ‘mainstream’ makeover.
Ranu, who’s been singing at West Bengal railway stations to earn her livelihood from the same, since her husband’s untimely death is now getting some recognition for her talent, thanks to the viral upload.
She was recently invited to Mumbai to participate in a reality show and guess what, they all gave her a free makeover.
Check out her new look:
Her original video shared on Facebook garnered nearly 4 million views as people went gaga over her simplicity and also her soulful, raw vocals.
Check it out below, if you haven’t already:
A makeover is certainly nice, but let’s also hope someone also gives her talent a chance.
