‘Kalank’ Actress, Alia Bhatt Wants To Win an ‘Oscar’ One Day!

Despite all the debate about ‘nepotism’ and the growing reluctance among viewers to accept ‘star-kids’ as openly as they once did, actress Alia Bhatt has still managed to create a name and place for herself in Bollywood.

With a number of popular Indian awards to her kitty after proving her acting metal in movies like, ‘Highway’, ‘Udta Punjab’ and more recently – ‘Raazi’, Alia eyes for something bigger and better – the Oscars.

The 26 year old star, who’s presently gearing for her forthcoming release opposite Varun Dhawan, hopes to win the golden statue one day.

Here is what the actress was quoted as saying by Indiatimes, while being asked about her ‘next big dream’:

“I don’t know if I thought it but I definitely hoped it, I have always hoped and dreamt big and not like unimaginable big but yaa I hope to win an Oscar someday.”

Alia hopes to represent Indian talent by getting a recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences – an area where Indian films have largely failed to make a mark over the years, unlike other non-English-language movie industries of the world.
