There is no doubt about the fact that A.R. Rahman is one of our most talented musicians and has managed to create some pretty unforgettable tunes in his illustrious Bollywood career.
The celebrated singer and musician is also the first Indian-movie composer to win a ‘Best Original Score’ Oscar for his widely appreciated work in, ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’
But all that is still not enough to guard him from possible critique coming from not always ‘meeting the expectations’ of his fans.
So when the multiple award winning musician released his much-talked-about Indian anthem for Avengers: Endgame and it ended-up sounding and looking like an overtly flamboyant, happy-go-lucky and over-the-top Bollywood-festival, all hell broke loose across social media.
The ‘cringe-level’ on the track and the visual was so damn high, folks couldn’t help but vent it all out on Twitter.
See these reactions for yourself:

So I gave in and listened to the marvel anthem. It’s not bad BUT it doesn’t suit the tone of the movies at all. Firstly, there was absolutely no need for it. Secondly, I know AR Rahman is a fucking legend but…this ain’t it. It works more for a cricket match than for Endgame.

Exactly! That’s why Hollywood doesn’t have a song in between movie. They gave one chance to create just an anthem and @arrahman ruined it.
