Just like the rest of us, Will Smith is pretty much smitten by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s latest offering ‘Gully Boy.’
The Zoya Akhtar-directed venture, which has been inspired by the story of street rappers Divine and Naezy, the movie has garnered immense love from critics while audiences too continue to flock to the theaters, giving it a massive opening.
Adding to the long-list of the movie’s admirers, Hollywood star Will Smith too has showered love and praise upon the movie while also giving a thumbs-up to Ranveer for reviving ‘old school Hip-Hop.’
In a video uploaded on Instagram, the Oscar nominated actor and rapper can be heard going gaga over Ranveer’s work in the flick while congratulating him on the job-well-done.
“Yo, Ranveer. Congrats Man. I’m loving what you’re doing with Gully Boy. For me, old school hip hop it is and I’ve seen hip hop all over the world and I’m loving it (Gully Boy) Man. Congrats, Go Get them!,” Will states in the clip.

Responding to the love from Will Smith, Ranveer posted screenshots of the video on his Instagram story with the captions, “Salaam Tumko Bade Bhai…BOHT HARD” and “Shoutout from the Original Rapper slash actor – Big Willy! RESPECT.”
Gully Boy has certainly added itself as another milestone in Ranveer’s constantly evolving career-graph.
