Kangana Ranaut Responds To Karni Sena’s Threat Against Manikarnika, ‘I Am A Rajput, And I Will Destroy Them’

Another year, another movie for Karni Sena to protest.

The controversial group, which came to national fame, after their violence-inciting protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ last year, have now found something ‘objectionable’ about Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming epic war-drama, ‘Manikarnika.’

Based on the life of the heroic Queen of Jhansi, the Krish-directed venture has been the talk of the town, ever since it hit the shooting floor. But with it’s release date approaching, the movie may as well be facing some controversies ahead.

Acting as the sole guardians of ‘historical figures’, Karni sena has now threatened the makers of the upcoming venture, warning them of not distorting historical facts in their flick.

But that is not going down with the movie’s leading lady, Kangana Ranaut – who has responded to them in her typical sharp-tongued manner.

Here is what the national-award winning actress was quoted as saying by IANS:

“Four historians have certified ‘Manikarnika…’. We have got censor certificate as well. Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them.”

Despite all the threats, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’ is stated for a release on January 25th.
