Saif Ali Khan “Too Nervous” To Watch Daughter Sara Ali Khan’s Debut Flick, ‘Kedarnath’

Kedarnath is gaining momentum at the box office, collecting nearly 17 crores in the domestic market within the first two days of its release and also getting praise for newcomer Sara Ali Khan’s performance, bringing attention to her potential of becoming the ‘next big thing’ in Bollywood.

But all that still isn’t enough for dad, Saif, to put his apprehensions and fears aside and watch her daughter’s much-awaited big-screen debut.

The actor was recently prompted if he had seen the flick yet, to which he responded with – “No I haven’t seen Kedarnath yet. But, I will very soon.”

But according to sources close to the ‘Sacred Games’ star, he is still reluctant upon witnessing her 25 year old daughter’s ‘acting chops’ – out of ‘nervousness’, despite several requests from wifey – Kareena Kapoor Khan.

“He is just petrified to watch Sara on screen. Kareena keeps urging him to watch Kedarnath. But, Saif keeps putting it off.” – the source was quoted telling an entertainment daily.

Despite Saif’s apprehensions, Sara Ali Khan has managed to grab a decent amount of critical praise for her debut role and is already gearing for another release with Rohit Shetty’s, ‘Simmba’ – co-starring, Ranveer Singh.

Would be interesting to see if Sara manages to prove if she’s got the chops to create a niche for herself in the industry, outside of her parents’ identity.
