Remember the heartbreaking Richard Gere movie – ‘Hachi: A Dog’s Tale’ – which told the most unforgettable story of the unconditional love man’s best friend shares with him?
Based on the true story of, now immortalized (in a way), Japanese dog Hachiko, the movie revolved around a canine’s loyalty – as he continued to wait for his deceased owner for 9 years, at the very same spot they used to meet when he was alive.
Already got a lump in your throat, imagining that, didn’t you?
Well, a similar story of a dog – who awaits the return of his recently deceased owner, is going viral on social media these days.
The dog has reportedly been waiting for his owner on a road in Hohhot, Mongolia for nearly 80 days – which is the very same spot his caretaker died in a road accident.
Despite several attempts by passersby to help him find shelter, the dog always comes back to the same spot again – waiting for his human friend to return.
A video of the loyal canine has been uploaded on China’s popular social media website, Weibo and his story has been bringing tears to the eyes of animal-lovers world-over.
