Aishwarya Rai – who’s been ruling hearts for the past 20 years with her undeniable beauty and looks, was recently awarded the ‘Timeless Beauty’ award at the Lux Golden Rose Awards (not yet sure if it’s supposed to be about movies or soaps, but anyway).
The show was being hosted by none other than, Shah Rukh Khan (like most award shows every year), and as soon as Aish finished her acceptance speech, giving a shout-out to a ton of beauty queens from the past – including the likes of Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Kajol and Madhuri Dixit, she was interrupted by her ‘Devdas’ co-star, who came prepared with a pocket-full of one-liners.
Jokingly stressing over how he’s never been given the chance to ‘truly romance’ one of the most beautiful women on the planet and beyond, SRK complained, how, in one of their very first movies together they were made to play – siblings (referring to their 2000-released flick, Josh).
As the audience laughed at his witty responses he then continued to give another example of ‘Mohabattein’ – which came out the same year, in which Aish’s character only appeared as a ‘ghost from the past.’
“Mohabbatein mein yeh bhootni thi,” he joked, leaving everyone in splits.
