It does seem like another lifetime when Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut as leading lady, along side Shah Rukh Khan.
But it was only in 2007, when the duo starred opposite each other in the Farhan Khan directed blockbuster, that imminently catapulted Padukone to the top of the game.
Now that the actress is tying the knot with her long time beau, Ranveer Singh – SRK, who’s one of the invitees and has had along association and friendship with the ‘Padmaavat’ star, couldn’t be more excited.
During a recent media interaction while launching the trailer for ‘Zero’, SRK was asked about his immediate reaction when he got to hear about the DeepVeer’s wedding confirmation.
Here is what he was quoted saying by PTI:
“When I came in the film industry I started acting with Sridevi ji, Madhuri (Dixit) ji. They got married. I have flowered as an actor and star because of the love these ladies have given me. The second generation got married and this is the third set who is getting married. I get really emotional when they get married. I called Deepika and I wanted to hug her, I told her be happy. My love to Deepika and Ranveer.”
