Navaratri season is that time of the year, when the entire nation gets filled with a variety of shades, colors and festivities.
While the historic tradition of a 9-day showing of ‘Ramayan’ as a stage-play continues even the tiniest of localities of the country, leading all the way to Dussehra, Kolkota gets lost in the divinity of Durga and other goddesses. At the same time, several communities, particularly folks in Gujarat, wholeheartedly celebrate the spirit of Dandiya and Garba, as men and women from all background gather to join the traditional Gujrati dance routine.
While every get-together of Garba is special in its own way, a group of visually challenged girls’ performance of the dance-form have caught the attention of the nation.
A video of visually challenged girls from Ahmedabad’s Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh performing the dance-form to a song penned by Narendra Modi, touched the hearts of so many across various social media platforms, including that of the PM himself – that they have perhaps turned into the most popular dandiya performers of this year.
The girls are seen performing to a song entitled ‘Ghumo Aeno Garbo’ which was penned by Modi in the year 2012.
Their heartwarming and beautiful video of flawlessly executing all the steps is certain to put a smile on your face.
