Sania Mirza has given birth to her first child nearly 8 years after her marriage with cricketing ace, Shoaib Malik.
The tennis superstar and Pakistani hubby have been blessed with a baby boy – and the news was confirmed on Twitter by Malik himself.
“Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled,” he wrote, along with the hashtag – “#BabyMirzaMalik”

As confirmed by Shoaib and his manager later on, both Sania and her baby are in healthy condition and doing well.
The tennis ace had taken a sabbatical from all competitions following the announcement of her pregnancy and will remain on maternity leaves, at least for a while.
This is one of those moments, when both India and Pakistan will be rejoicing in equal spirits.
