A viral video of a Pakistani man singing India’s national anthem has been taking over the internet this past couple of days.
During the intense atmosphere of a recent Indo-Pak cricket match, a supporter of the neighboring country sang along to “Jan Gan Man” while donning the Paki flag around his shoulders.
The moment has obviously touched the hearts of many who have been sharing it across social media platforms, breaking stereotypes around the notion of patriotism.

Interestingly, as the footage went viral, the man in the video, identified as Adil Taj, also commented on it with the following:
“That’s me guys. Thanks for sharing. Peace only. No nonsensical wars. Spread Love.”
We understand there are constantly cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, and soft talk and mushy-emotions aren’t really the solution to the tension that has been going between the soldiers of the two countries. But moments like these certainly, restore our faith that there is still hope for a better day and perhaps even peace between the two nations.
