Shoaib Akhtar Gets Angry at Reporter Over Her Language After Pakistan’s Loss

How often have you switched between news channels and come across an Indian reporter speaking in a language, tone or verbiage that wouldn’t necessarily be ‘universally accepted’ as a professional, standard way of speaking for a news presenter?

How many of times do the incoherent, uncivil choices of words and “loose talk” from some of these shouters reporters, make you cringe and raise your eyebrow?

Well most of us, may have accepted this ‘new format’ of news presentation, thanks to the flurry of sensationalist news channels that have been launched in the last couple of years, but that doesn’t make them ‘the norm’ outside of their regular viewership.

In a similar segment, a reporter’s choice of words seemed to have rubbed former Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar the wrong way, after she started throwing sarcastic remarks following the country’s loss in a recent match.

Shoaib, appeared as a guest on ABP news, to participate in an immediate discussion which took place after the match between Indian and Pakistan.

The overtly enthusiastic reporter then referred to India’s ‘Swachchta Abhiyaan’ and teased the cricketing legend by co-relating it to Pak team’s recent performance – which obviously, didn’t go down well with Shoaib.

The cricketer immediately responded and asked the reporter to get her language corrected and refrain from speaking with him in such a manner, as the rest of the panel watched him in surprise.
