Rajkumar Hirani Never Thought Nawazuddin Siddiqui Would be a Big Actor, But Look at Him Now!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has certainly come a long way in movies!

Starting from minuscule roles in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Black Friday’ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Munna Bhai’ – Siddiqui is now regarded as one of the most talented leading stars of the industry, boasting of a string of critically acclaimed performances to his name.

With his power-packed roles in movies like – ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Kahaani’, ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Maanjhi’, ‘Sacred Games’ and ‘Haraamkhor’ – to name a few, Siddiqui has proved his acting metal time and time again.

Reflecting back at his journey, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani recently reminisced over the time he directed the talent for a small sequence in Munna Bhai, not realizing he would soon be a household name with his unorthodox choice of movies and work.

Hirani was quoted telling the following by IANS

“People had to beat him up in that scene and they really did that! I told him ‘Nawaz you’ve done an amazing work, you’re a great actor!’ But in my head, I never thought that Nawazuddin Siddiqui would become such a huge actor that he is today.”

Watch the actor’s brief appearance in the movie below:

Hirani may have failed to look beyond his own perspectives, but when you have talent as raw as Nawaz’s and the determination to make it happen, nothing can stop you from ascending to the top.

With the sort of roles, Nawaz has been doing lately, his star is only going to shine brighter and brighter.
