Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have time and again showcased how one should be the greatest supporter of their better-halves, in all of their personal and professional endeavors.
The much-in-love duo, who tied the knot last December, have been practically cheer-leading and singing high praises of one another since then.
Anushka – who’s presently doing the rounds of various media outlets, promoting her upcoming romantic-drama, ‘Sui Dhaaga’ – spoke with Anupama Chopra on the very subject of her marriage with the ace cricketer.
“I am married to the greatest man in the world,” the actress proudly asserted with a gleaming smile on her face.
Anushka, who appeared for the interview alongside her ‘Sui Dhaaga’ co-star Varun Dhawan, also gave a bit more insight into her relationship with Kohli and being termed a ‘power-couple’ by the media.
Here is what she had to say:
“I think we are both not so attached to what we do. The other day someone asked me a question you know ‘power couple and two powerful people from your own industry. You know when you are together, how do you manage this and all’. And I thought to myself and I told them also, we don’t see ourselves like that. We start to see ourselves that way then there is something really wrong in the nature of our relationship. If someone really wants to have an insight into our lives, we are very simple people, wanting to do normal, very simple things.”
Speaking further on the insane amount of fame they have as a couple, Anushka said:
“We are both very awkward with the fame that we have we don’t embrace stardom and fame and that’s why, I think, we connect so much. We run away, sometimes, from these things. Sometimes, we find a need to be in our own cocoon. And that’s the reason why we are so self-sufficient. And when I see self, I mean both of us because we don’t see each other as two different people. Him and me are male and female versions of each other.”
And that same chemistry certainly shows in all of their public appearances. Anushka and Virat are certainly the epitome of compatibility!
